Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak & Shrimp:

  • 2 ribeye or filet mignon steaks (or your preferred cut)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • 8 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ½ teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (or Cajun seasoning)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for shrimp)

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (for brightness)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Steak

  1. Pat steaks dry with a paper towel and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the steaks for 3-5 minutes per side (depending on thickness and doneness preference).
  4. Remove steaks from the skillet and let them rest while cooking the shrimp.

Step 2: Cook the Shrimp

  1. Season shrimp with Old Bay or Cajun seasoning.
  2. Melt butter in the same skillet and cook shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  3. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3: Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  2. Pour in heavy cream, stirring constantly.
  3. Add Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning, whisking until smooth.
  4. Stir in lemon juice for brightness. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.

Step 4: Assemble & Serve

  1. Return steaks and shrimp to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top.
  2. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately!

Notes

  • Use High-Quality Steak – Ribeye or filet mignon give the best results.
  • Don’t Overcook the Shrimp – They cook quickly and should be just pink.
  • For Extra Flavor – Add a splash of white wine to the garlic sauce.
  • Let the Steak Rest – This helps keep it juicy and flavorful.
