Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk (or buttermilk for extra fluffiness)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prepare:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Line a muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease with oil.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients:

    • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients:

    • In another bowl, whisk the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Combine & Mix:

    • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined—do not overmix!
  • Fill the Muffin Tin:

    • Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about ¾ full.
  • Bake:

    • Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

 

  • Cool & Enjoy:

    • Let the muffins cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!

Notes

  • Berry Muffins: Fold in 1 cup of fresh or frozen berries.
  • Chocolate Chip Muffins: Add ¾ cup of chocolate chips.
  • Nutty Muffins: Stir in ½ cup of chopped walnuts or almonds.
