Ingredients
For the Steak & Shrimp:
-
2 ribeye or filet mignon steaks (about 1-inch thick)
-
8–10 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
2 tbsp butter
-
Salt & black pepper (to taste)
-
Optional: fresh thyme, rosemary, or garlic for basting
For the Lobster Cream Sauce:
-
1 tbsp butter
-
1 garlic clove, minced
-
½ cup cooked lobster meat (claw or tail, chopped)
-
½ cup heavy cream
-
¼ cup white wine (or seafood stock)
-
2 tbsp grated Parmesan
-
1 tsp lemon juice
-
Salt & pepper to taste
-
Optional: pinch of smoked paprika or cayenne for depth
Instructions
Bring steaks to room temperature. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a hot skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks for 3–5 minutes per side (for medium-rare), adding butter and herbs to baste. Let steaks rest while you prepare the shrimp and sauce.
In the same skillet, add a touch more butter if needed. Cook shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side, until just pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
In a saucepan, melt 1 tbsp butter over medium heat. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds. Add lobster meat and cook for 1 minute. Stir in white wine and reduce slightly.
Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan, lemon juice, and optional paprika. Simmer 3–4 minutes until thick and creamy. Season to taste.
Place steak on a plate, top with sautéed shrimp, and generously spoon the warm lobster cream sauce over everything. Garnish with fresh herbs or a lemon wedge if desired.
Notes
Use Quality Steak – Ribeye or filet mignon deliver the best flavor and tenderness.
Don’t Overcook the Shrimp – They only need a couple of minutes to stay juicy.
Lobster Alternatives – Crab meat or imitation lobster can be subbed if needed.
Add a Splash of Brandy – For a more luxurious sauce, replace wine with a splash of brandy.
Serve with Sides – Garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus, or buttered green beans pair perfectly.
