Ingredients
Spinach & Cheese Omelette
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk (for fluffiness)
- 1/2 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1/4 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or feta work great)
- 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional, for extra flavor)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs (like parsley or chives, optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Egg Mixture
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using) until well combined and slightly frothy.
Step 2: Sauté the Spinach
- Heat butter or olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped spinach and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until wilted. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Step 3: Cook the Omelette
- Reduce the heat to low-medium and pour the egg mixture into the skillet.
- Let the eggs cook undisturbed for 1-2 minutes, gently swirling the pan so the eggs cook evenly.
Step 4: Add Cheese & Spinach
- Sprinkle the sautéed spinach and shredded cheese evenly over one half of the omelette.
- Once the edges start to lift slightly and the center is mostly set, use a spatula to fold the omelette in half.
Step 5: Serve & Enjoy!
- Cook for another 30 seconds to let the cheese melt completely.
- Slide the omelette onto a plate and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Use Fresh Eggs – The fresher the eggs, the better the texture and flavor.
Low & Slow Cooking – Cooking on low heat ensures a soft, creamy omelette without overcooking.
