  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 1 cup lump crab meat (fresh or canned, drained)
  • ½ cup artichoke hearts, chopped
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted (for brushing)

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Brush each slice of sourdough bread with melted butter and place on a baking sheet.

Step 2: Make the Crab & Artichoke Topping

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine crab meat, artichoke hearts, cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Stir until well combined and creamy.

Step 3: Assemble the Toasts

  1. Spread a generous amount of the crab and artichoke mixture onto each slice of sourdough.
  2. Sprinkle Parmesan and mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.

Step 4: Bake & Broil

  1. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
  2. Switch the oven to broil for 1-2 minutes to create a golden, bubbly top.

Step 5: Garnish & Serve

  1. Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  2. Serve warm and enjoy!

Use Fresh Crab Meat – For the best flavor, opt for fresh lump crab meat if available.
