Ingredients
- 4 slices sourdough bread
- 1 cup lump crab meat (fresh or canned, drained)
- ½ cup artichoke hearts, chopped
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ¼ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted (for brushing)
Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Bread
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Brush each slice of sourdough bread with melted butter and place on a baking sheet.
Step 2: Make the Crab & Artichoke Topping
- In a mixing bowl, combine crab meat, artichoke hearts, cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Stir until well combined and creamy.
Step 3: Assemble the Toasts
- Spread a generous amount of the crab and artichoke mixture onto each slice of sourdough.
- Sprinkle Parmesan and mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
Step 4: Bake & Broil
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
- Switch the oven to broil for 1-2 minutes to create a golden, bubbly top.
Step 5: Garnish & Serve
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
