Ingredients

Scale

For the Deviled Eggs:

  • 12 large eggs

  • ½ cup mayonnaise (use high-quality for the best flavor)

  • 2 tsp yellow mustard

  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard

  • 2 tsp sweet pickle relish

  • 1 tsp white vinegar

  • ¼ tsp garlic powder

  • ¼ tsp onion powder

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ⅛ tsp black pepper

Optional Add-ins (for that “million dollar” flavor):

  • 1 tbsp cream cheese, softened (for extra richness)

  • 1 tsp sugar (to balance the tang)

  • 2 tbsp finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese (for a bold twist)

For Garnish:

  • Paprika (for classic color)

  • Chopped chives or green onions

  • Crispy beef bacon bits (adds texture and smoky flavor)

  • Jalapeño slices (optional, for a spicy kick)

Instructions

Step 1: Boil the Eggs
Place the eggs in a large pot and cover with cold water by 1 inch. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover with a lid, remove from heat, and let sit for 12 minutes.

Step 2: Cool and Peel
Drain the hot water and transfer eggs to an ice bath. Let cool for 10–15 minutes before peeling. Gently crack and roll each egg to peel the shell easily.

Step 3: Halve and Separate
Slice each egg in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks. Place yolks in a mixing bowl and set the egg whites aside on a serving tray.

Step 4: Make the Filling
Mash the yolks with a fork or use a food processor for a super smooth texture. Add mayonnaise, both mustards, sweet relish, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
For the “million dollar” richness, mix in cream cheese, sugar, and shredded cheddar cheese. Blend until smooth and creamy.

Step 5: Fill the Egg Whites
Use a spoon to fill each egg white with the yolk mixture, or for a neater presentation, pipe it in using a piping bag or zip-top bag with the corner snipped off.

Step 6: Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle the tops with paprika, chopped chives, and beef bacon bits for extra flavor and crunch. Add a thin jalapeño slice to a few for a spicy option.

Notes

Use Older Eggs – They’re easier to peel after boiling.
Chill the Filling – For best texture and flavor, refrigerate the yolk filling for 20–30 minutes before piping.
Go Smooth – A food processor makes the creamiest deviled egg filling.
Taste as You Go – Adjust salt, tang, or sweetness to match your preference.
Add Toppings Last – Garnish just before serving to keep everything fresh.
