Scale
For the Steak:
- 1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or filet), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
For the Alfredo Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup whole milk
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)
- 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the Pasta:
- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 teaspoon salt (for boiling water)
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook fettuccine according to package instructions, until al dente.
- Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
Step 2: Cook the Steak
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add steak pieces, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Sear for 3-4 minutes, flipping once, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.
Step 3: Make the Alfredo Sauce
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and milk, whisking continuously.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Let simmer for 2-3 minutes, until thick and creamy.
Step 4: Combine Everything
- Add the cooked fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat.
- If needed, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
- Return the steak pieces to the skillet and mix gently.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Choose the Right Steak: Sirloin or ribeye work best for tender, juicy bites.
- Don’t Overcook the Steak: For the best flavor, cook steak to medium or medium-rare.
- Use Fresh Parmesan: Pre-grated cheese won’t melt as smoothly.
- Make it Lighter: Swap half-and-half for the heavy cream to cut some richness.
