½ cup unsalted butter, melted
For the Cream Cheese Layer:

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
-
1 cup powdered sugar
-
1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
For the Banana Pudding Layer:
-
2 boxes (3.4 oz each) instant vanilla pudding mix
-
3 cups cold milk
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
2 medium ripe bananas, sliced thinly
For the Topping:
-
1½ cups whipped topping
-
Crushed vanilla wafers for garnish
-
Banana slices (add before serving to avoid browning)
Instructions
Step 1: Make the Crust
In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed vanilla wafers and melted butter.
Stir until the crumbs are well coated.
Press firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to form the crust.
Place in the fridge to chill while you prepare the next layers.
Step 2: Make the Cream Cheese Layer
In a clean bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy.
Fold in the whipped topping until well combined.
Spread this mixture evenly over the chilled crust using a spatula.
Step 3: Prepare the Banana Pudding Layer
In another bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and slightly thickened (about 2–3 minutes).
Let it sit for a few minutes to firm up slightly.
Layer the banana slices evenly over the cream cheese layer.
Then spread the pudding mixture gently over the bananas.
Step 4: Add the Final Layer
Spread the remaining whipped topping over the pudding layer for a soft, cloud-like finish.
Use a spatula to smooth it out evenly.
Step 5: Garnish & Chill
Top with crushed vanilla wafers and extra banana slices just before serving.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
Serve chilled and enjoy every creamy, crunchy bite.
Notes
Use Ripe but Firm Bananas – They should be sweet but not overly soft for the best texture.
Let It Chill – This dessert sets better the longer it rests in the fridge.
Slice Just Before Serving – Add fresh banana slices on top at the last minute to keep them from browning.
Try Homemade Whipped Cream – For an even more indulgent touch, use freshly whipped cream instead of store-bought topping.
Crush the Cookies – Use a food processor or place them in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin.
