Ingredients

For the Bread:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups apples, peeled and diced (any sweet variety)

For the Cinnamon Swirl:

 

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat & Prep

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.

Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.

Step 3: Combine the Wet Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Step 4: Mix the Batter

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Gently fold in the diced apples.

Step 5: Make the Cinnamon Swirl

In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon.

Step 6: Layer & Swirl

Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top. Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar. Use a knife to swirl it into the batter.

Step 7: Bake

Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. If the top is browning too quickly, cover loosely with foil in the last 15 minutes.

Step 8: Cool & Serve

 

Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
