Ingredients

Scale

To make this delicious toast, you’ll need:

  • 4 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or your favorite)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, for extra flavor)
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

Step 1: Mix the Cinnamon Sugar Butter

  1. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract (if using), and a pinch of salt.
  2. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Step 2: Prepare the Bread

  1. Spread the cinnamon butter mixture evenly over each slice of bread, making sure to cover the entire surface.

Step 3: Toast the Bread (Two Methods)

Option 1: Using a Toaster (Quick & Easy)
4. Toast the bread in a toaster until golden brown.
5. Spread the cinnamon butter mixture on the warm toast after toasting.

Option 2: Using an Oven (Best for Caramelization)
4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
5. Place the buttered bread slices on a baking sheet.
6. Bake for 8-10 minutes, then broil for 1-2 minutes for a crispy, caramelized top.
7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Use Quality Bread – Thick-sliced bread like brioche, Texas toast, or sourdough works best.
  • Adjust the Sweetness – Feel free to add more or less sugar to suit your taste.
  • Make It Extra Crispy – Broil for a minute at the end for a crunchy, caramelized finish.
  • Make Ahead – Prepare the cinnamon butter in advance and store it in the fridge for quick use.
